Overusing our search engine with a very large number of searches in a very short amount of time.Using a badly configured (or badly written) browser add-on for blocking content.Running a "scraper" or "downloader" program that either does not identify itself or uses fake headers to elude detection.Using a script or add-on that scans GameFAQs for box and screen images (such as an emulator front-end), while overloading our search engine. There is no official GameFAQs app, and we do not support nor have any contact with the makers of these unofficial apps. Continued use of these apps may cause your IP to be blocked indefinitely. This triggers our anti-spambot measures, which are designed to stop automated systems from flooding the site with traffic. Some unofficial phone apps appear to be using GameFAQs as a back-end, but they do not behave like a real web browser does.Using GameFAQs regularly with these browsers can cause temporary and even permanent IP blocks due to these additional requests. If you are using Maxthon or Brave as a browser, or have installed the Ghostery add-on, you should know that these programs send extra traffic to our servers for every page on the site that you browse. The most common causes of this issue are: I know the "doh" of this is "ok so just run the game native" but I do not have that option due to policies with isolating PC games from corporate applications.Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. Very frustrating particularly when I have this running like a charm on two different macs with Fusion. Unchecking "never optimize mouse for games" makes mouselook behave properly but then right-click does not work. The only working (barely) configuration right now is to choose "never optimize mouse for games" which allows right-click to function properly in games, but makes the mouse/camera functions in game hyper sensitive - the "spin" issue referenced by other posters. (Interestingly VMWare does not recognize this mouse or a separate driver for it.) (Right-click does behave properly with other apps on this guest.) The high-end dual-core laptop I am running has a built in track pad but I use an attached USB mouse for gaming. The consistent problem I seem to be having is that the game depends healvily on "right-click" and right-click does not behave properly with this game when run inside VMWare. I have tweaked the graphics and sound to the point where there is a good tradeoff between perfomance and playability. I am using Lord of the Rings Online on a Windows XP Pro Guest with VMWare Workstation 6.5.1 hosted on Windows XP Pro. Anything to enable me to stop dual booting. Even running them at a (heavily) reduced resolution would be fine. I would buy WS 6.5 tomorrow, IF it can run (at least some of) my games. But the games are unusable with the mouse the way it is. I can "run" about in the games using the keyboard, and the video and game run great. Have tried running in windowed and full screen (entire guest). Have also adjusted it in the Windows Guest. There doesn't seem anywhere to adjust it in the VMware Tools. I have tried adjusting sensitivity of the mouse, in game. It seems to just move (or spin) a massive amount when I move the mouse ~1mm. I have installed XP SP2, DX9, VMware Tools and a couple of games - TF2 and CoD4.īoth games seem to start and run fine. Video Card: 7900GT (3d support is enabled for the guest).Īll seems fine. Host: Ubuntu 8.04 32bit - Workstation 6.5 trial.
